Stacking Blocks

August 21, 2011

I was impressed with Simon’s stacking skills. He’s able to stack at least 4 or 5 blocks.

Simon in action: stacking blocks and saying “over” (as in “fall over”).

Simon likes shopping bags (like mommy!)

Simon enjoying our backyard playing with his water table INSIDE the pool. He learned when you pour water in the top, it will drip and come down through the slide back into the main pool.

Walking Hand in Hand

August 20, 2011

We were in Oakland Chinatown to attend my co-worker’s baby’s red egg and ginger party. We waited for my dad to finish work before we headed to the restaurant. Simon was easily entertained with an 8 dram prescription bottle and cap.

Simon got a smiley-face balloon at the luncheon and got to take it home with him. He walked hand-in-hand with Grandpa Tam while we walked to the grocery stores.

We bought some large white nectarines which Simon insisted on carrying. The bag was pretty heavy for him and he had a hard time carrying by himself but wouldn’t let us help him! Eventually he said “ow!” when the plastic bag left red markings on his arms. Pretty stubborn kid we’ve got.

Knocked Out

August 18, 2011

I fell asleep with Simon last night and Ron took this picture of us. I wonder if he’s actually trying to push me out of the bed?

Simon’s jeans are all sandy from the park.

Taking a snack break from playing. This is in the wooden train at Civic Park in Walnut Creek.

Even after the park, Simon likes to play in his pool. While Ron was filling it up, Simon decides to start playing with the water hose.

After a day filled with fun, he is konked out again.

Looks like Simon drank a little bit too much (water)…

Helping to Clean House

August 17, 2011

Simon using plastic storage as a hat.

Strike a pose!

In the evening, Simon saw me using the Swiffer and wanted to try to clean the floor.

We can put him to work now!

We also have this foot floor sweeper where you wear it like a sandal to sweep the floor. Simon saw me doing it and wanted to try it too.

Simon has been curious about the camera and how it takes pictures and makes movies. Here he is taking a picture of himself. Seems a bit perplexed.
