Art Walk

Thursday, March 26, 2015

Yay for little pony tails!

Simon’s school collaborated with the French school across the street for La Grande Lessive (the Big Laundry). They displayed art hung on the trees on the sidewalk. Here is Simon’s work.

At dinner, both kids wanted to make fishy faces. I guess it was appropriate for slurping up spaghetti.

Melon Bars

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Most kids seem to love ice cream… including these two. This is a honeydew melon bar from the Korean supermarket. Ron cut off the top part and put a chopstick in it for Iris and gave Simon the bottom half.

Simon poses for me but looks like he’s biting the inside of his cheeks here.

More Presents

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Simon received one more gift for his birthday. He was happy to get a package with his name on it.

Iris also wanted to help to open it.

But Simon opened it up all by himself and says thank you to Auntie Betty and Uncle Henry.

Iris was sad so got a piggy back ride from me.

PB Lover

Monday, March 23, 2015

Iris really likes peanut butter. She says 醬 or Jiàng (sauce) when she wants more on her bread. She ends up scraping off all the PB and not eating much bread.

Finger licking good!

Simon put together one of his birthday toys this evening and both of them had tons of fun with it.

Sibling Sunday

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Simon can get pretty frustrated with Iris trying to copycat him all the time but they have their good moments like drawing together at the kitchen table.

Or playing on our new rug.

Or Iris trying to use a hand roller to give Simon a back massage.

And their probably final time playing with this dinosaur cut out.

It was a good Sunday. We even had time to bike to a park for Simon’s previous classmate’s pirate themed birthday party.

We seem to be finally on the road to recovery but we all still have this nagging cough that takes the energy out of us. Anyone with a remedy to recommend?
