Computer and Car

September 12, 2011

Simon is more interested in his Leapfrog Leaptop now that he can press the buttons properly. I love the way he says Monkey!

Simon making the sounds that cars make. I was on my way home from work so he goes vroom-vroom and honks the horn, beep-beep.

Simon watching TV while waiting for me to get back.

Watching TV while we’re finishing up dinner and grooving to the music.

BBQ #3

September 11, 2011

Delicious berries leftover from yesterday’s BBQ.

Such deep sleep.

After moving him to rest in his bed, he didn’t really want to sleep anymore so I sang Itsy Bitsy Spider using Cookie Monster as a puppet.

We invited my parents over to finish off the rest of our ribs and grilled vegetables. Simon seems to really like ribs!

Check out those greasy fingers.

Getting a ride from Gung Gung.

BBQ #2

September 10, 2011

Messy face after eating freeze dried strawberries.

Messy face after stealing Nacho Cheese Doritos from our kitchen table. We were welcoming some friends for a BBQ and Simon almost went unnoticed with taking the Doritos… but his face and hands show it all!

Enjoying some ribs with Auntie Vicki.

Today is Grandpa Chung’s actual birthday.

After singing, Simon helps to blow out the candle.

New BBQ Grill

September 9, 2011

Ron got a new video at the library of Old MacDonald. Simon really likes us to sing Old MacDonald to him.

Check out Ron’s new BBQ grill. One side is propane and the other is charcoal. Today we test out the propane for steaks. Tomorrow he will try smoking some meats.

We had dinner outside in the backyard on our refurbished patio set. Ron got this patio set for free on Craigslist and bought some black Rustoleum spray paint to spiff it up a bit. Now it looks great!

Our first dinner outside.

Yucky! and Saying the Alphabet

September 8, 2011

Simon says “yucky!” – in relation to his dirty diaper

Simon’s sad puppy dog eyes look.

Who can resist?

Simon repeats the alphabet after me. He fusses in the beginning as he wanted to play with the camera first but he calms down when he realizes he is making a movie that he can watch later. He hasn’t mastered “W” yet.
