Today Simon is 17 months old and weighs 27 lbs!

Simon checking out the door to the cat enclosure that Ron built. He put the litter box outside in hopes that the cats will use it there instead of inside of our downstairs bathroom. For now it’s a strange concept to them which will probably take a long time for them to get used to. There are also two separate areas where they can perch and watch the squirrels and birds in the backyard.

Apparently Simon also likes Hello Kitty’s purse.

Ron took Simon shopping at Costco and bought him this green dinosaur plush/blanket. Simon’s like to say “DI-SAUR”.

Apparently Simon likes raisins.

We delayed giving them to him because of the risk of choking but he’s got a pretty good set of teeth now and as long as we watch him, we think he’ll be fine. He likes to take them out of the little box himself.

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Tam in the evening to celebrate Grandpa Tam’s birthday. On the way there, we passed by the waterfall on Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon. Simon loves water and got really excited to stop by.

We all went out to dinner together to wish my dad a happy birthday! Thank you for being a great dad and grandpa!

We’re having a snack break in Downtown Walnut Creek. Simon’s wearing his new Sesame Street overalls.

In the evening, we went to a wedding and Simon got all spiffied up in this tuxedo.

Here he is with his jacket on.

He got a little bit bored during the dinner but behaved pretty well overall. He had to be carried for the last hour of the meal so my arms are a bit sore. He stayed up until 10:30pm so konked out as soon as we got into the car to drive home.
