Jumping For Joy

August 11, 2011

Simon, self-portrait.

He was playing with the camera this morning and I didn’t realize he actually took a picture… but just of his foot. I still thought it was pretty good that he was able to figure out how to take a picture.

Simon has lots of energy and found a good way to use it up today. He tried to jump up and down on his futon.

This evening we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Tam and Simon had fun bouncing up and down his Grandma’s Pillow Pets. Grandma said her arms were tired after helping Simon bounce up and down.

He was all smiles.

Hands on Head

August 8, 2011

Simon likes to dip things… especially with ketchup. He’s like Ron in that way. He even eats ketchup without fries.

Simon’s monster remote control.

Ready for his close-up!

Simon making scrunchy faces and then laughing so much that he starts hiccuping.

Simon learned how to put his hands on his head.

He can even go down the stairs with his hands on his head.

We went to visit Larkey Park after I got off work and Simon had a great time running around. He liked this slide/stair combo thing and kept on trying to club up the slide part and come down the stair part. He even figured out how to climb down where the step is too high and he kind of had to “jump” to get down.

He had so much fun that he was so hungry and tired himself out for dinner. We had dinner at IHOP since we had a 30% off coupon from the mail. But kids eat free this month from 4-10pm as long as you order an adult entree. Our dinner cost less than $20, a good option when we’re too tired to cook.

Using those Chompers

August 7, 2011

Simon went with me around town today. We went to Costco in the morning and picked up some white nectarines. He ate 3/4 of one all by himself. The juice got all over his face and shirt. I’m glad my little boy loves to eat fruit.

We then went to Target and the park before he had to get home to take a nap. I picked up lunch from Chipotle and got him a cheese quesadilla… which cost $1! Kind of expensive for such a tiny little thing. After Simon woke from his nap, he was really hungry and chomped away at the quesadilla until 1/4 was left (then he moved on to eating a big bowl of blueberries).

He can really use those teeth!
