Simon Day 11 – Huntington Park, San Francisco

It was a nice day today in San Francisco. Simon spent most of the day sleeping. He looks like he’s posing for a photograph.

But also had some awake periods. We’re not sure what to do with him when he is awake as he hasn’t shown much interest in any toys yet. We basically just talk to him and try to get him to look at us. Ron speaks to him in Mandarin to get him started at an early age.

We took him for an early evening stroll at Huntington Park. It is located on California St, between Taylor and Masonic. It was a bit chilly since it was approaching evening do Simon was bundled up. Grace Cathedral is right across the street. The park itself has a playground for children with swings, monkey bars, etc. If we’re still living in SF when he’s old enough, I’m sure he’ll enjoy monkeying around.

Simon Day 10 – Fussy sleeper

Simon has been a bit fussy the last two mornings, after eating he seems to have trouble falling asleep by himself. He needs someone to rock him or hold him to fall into a deep sleep. This morning it was Ron’s turn to keep Simon company so Simon could get some rest. Ron was tired himself so it worked out well.

I love watching Simon sleep. I love his little quirk of him needing to stick out an arm while asleep.

Today we also launched our new WordPress blog and I finally had time to update all the posts starting from March 2nd (the day Simon was born!). There are plenty of pictures so please check them out!

Simon Day 9- Visit with Tiffany and Alex on Irving Street

Our friends Tiffany and Alex are visiting from Lancaster and wanted to meet Simon. We got Simon all dressed up in another of his CAL onesies (thanks Uncle Henry).

We fed Simon before heading out to meet them for lunch at San Tung. He was konked out.

Simon got his first whiff of San Tung’s dry fried chicken. Yum Yum!

Alex and Tiffany with Simon.

After lunch, we went for a short stroll on Irving Street.

We ended up sitting and chatting in Starbucks on Irving.

We all had a long day so by evening time, Simon and I were exhausted so we took a little nap together.

Simon says, “Thank you Auntie Vicki for my Juicy Couture blanket!”

My parents came to visit late in the evening and they were making Simon smile. He looks really goofy here.

After my parents left, we went to change Simon’s diaper and his poop had leaked all over his leg so we decided to give him a bath. We used a bottle of Mustela baby shampoo/body wash that my co-workers gave me and it smells wonderful. I love clean baby smell and freshly cleansed soft skin and hair. We dressed him up in a Spiderman onesie (I bought from Old Navy because I knew Ron would like it).

He still hates bathing since I think he really just hates being naked but I guess we’ll just have to keep at it.

Simon Day 7 – Grinning

I took this photo of Simon as he was sleeping in the morning.

Right after he heard the click of the snapshot, he opened his eyes for a second… then grinned.

Simon has a big yawn. I love this robot T-shirt from JAKC Designs.

Baby Simon Burrito. Full of goodness and cuteness!
