Fish & Company at IMM

Tonight Ron and I went to dinner with Peai Tean at Fish & Co. and IMM.

I had the classic fish and chips.

Ron had the crab and lobster spicy pasta.

We had their special cola (wasn’t that special…)

Peai Tean gave me a lovely farewell gift of a four leaf clover pendant since she was off to get hitched on Friday and I wouldn’t see her again before we leave for US. Congratulations to her and Ray!

Korean food at Food Culture

One of my favorite Korean dishes is something I’ve always known as “rice pinkies” because they are rice noodles about the size and shape of your pinkies. They have it in Singapore but it’s really hard to find in US so you usually have to go to a Korean market to buy your own noodles. This is what it kind of looks like except the noodles are usually round, not square like this.

I really like spicy tofu stew but this was not spicy enough and not quite the right type of red bean spicy paste they use in Korean restaurants.

I’m looking forward to going back to US to our favorite Korean restaurants for really spicy tofu stew!

Huge yummy mango and noodle take-out

I seriously am going to miss tropical fruit. These mangoes were the size of my head! They were juicy and sweet too!

Ron brought home food since we were too lazy to go somewhere to have a sit down meal. We just had fried “stinky tofu” and noodles.

We shared a bottle of wine that we brought back from Europe.

Cute shoes and Botak Jones

If you know me, I have a weakness for shoes. While shopping at Bugis Junction, Ron pointed out these really cute shoes in one of the stores. They were so adorable, I couldn’t resist.

For dinner we went to Botak Jones since we heard rave reviews from all our friends as it is “good ol’ American food”. We went to the Clementi outlet.

We had the chili cheese fries. So big we couldn’t finish.

Had a good old cheese burger.

Ron had a classic hot dog with fries.

We couldn’t Joyce to eat the beef but we still had a good dinner 🙂 We ran into one of Joyce’s pharmacy students there as he politely came over to say hello to us. I always thought Singapore was small but this is the first time that we’ve run into a student outside of school and the workplace. I guess Singapore isn’t really that small of a place.

Passion Fruit, Laksa, and 24 hour eating

My coworker has been spoiling me with the wonderful fruits she keeps in her refrigerator. These passion fruits are so delicious! I thought I was allergic to them because I had a reaction once when in Hawaii but I am glad to find out I’m not 🙂

I had laksa for lunch, one of my favorites, a spicy creamy noodle soup and for dinner we went to Al-Ameen Eating House which is open 24 hours and had some good Indian food. We had green chicken, Milo dinosaur, maggie noodles, etc. It’s too bad we didn’t know about this 24 hour place before, I’m sure we would’ve eaten there more often!
