Fort Bragg and Spices! (Take 2)

Sigh, it was time to head back to SF. Before we left though, we stopped at Cowlick’s Ice Cream Cafe. At the pizza place last night they had Cowlick’s ice cream on the menu but we were too stuffed to order it. Instead we figured we stop by here for lunch and dessert!

We had a chili dog and then ordered their special pumpkin dessert. It’s a warm pumpkin cookie served with pumpkin ice cream, caramel sauce, whipped cream, carmelized pecans, and a cherry on top! Yum Yum!

It took us about 3 hours to get back to the Golden Gate Bridge and took us another 20 minutes alone to cross it, there was so much traffic!

After cleaning up at home, we went out to dinner with Kat & Jon to Spices! again on 8th Avenue. We ordered more dishes this time around since we had more people.

This is Lion’s Head. A bit weird because it seemed to have a lot of filler.

This was the cumin spiced lamb. I don’t know if any of us really liked it, the gamey flavor of the lamb still shined through.

This is their version of cold noodles. The sauce had lots of chili oil and the noodles a bit too chewy. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the one that San Tung makes.

Dumplings. Overall nothing much to say.

The star of the meal again was the fried stinky tofu…

Ugh, must exercise more this week…
