Long, relaxing weekend…

Saturday, August 31:

Lunch with Tam grandparents before we all head out to Thunder Valley Casino.

Checking out the beds in our hotel room.

Time for a late afternoon swim. Iris put on a swimsuit for the first time (a gift from Auntie Tanya).

And wore her Hello Kitty robe.

For Iris’ first time in a swimming pool, she did great! She didn’t complain one bit and even did some kicking.

Simon had so much fun bobbing and swimming around with his arm floats. He stayed in the water so long that he got really wrinkly.

But smiling all the way.

Iris was pooped out too and fell asleep.

After her nap and refreshing shower, Iris and Ron had fun in the mirror. She’s really interested in looking at her reflection and smiling.

Yummy buffet desserts!

Her makeshift bed for the night. Two armchairs pushed together with a fluffy bathrobe draped over it. She was already too tired so we didn’t have enough time to ask for a crib or pack and play to be brought up to our room.

Sunday, September 1:

Early in the morning, Iris ended up in bed next to me.

Tummy time!

Piggy back on Grandpa Tam while waiting in line for brunch.

One more time in the pool before we head home.

Beautiful day.

Exhausted so time to go!

Simon’s tiger plush is all packed and ready to go home.

A cozy warm bath at home wrapped in all her towels.

Monday, September 2:

Last day of relaxation before I go back to work and Simon has his first day of school. I’m going to miss sleeping in late next to this cute little face every day.

Iris really likes standing up.

She also really likes watching Ron’s fish tank. It’s like TV for her. It will usually calm her down when she’s fussy too. We need a mini aquarium to carry around with us. Comfortable in her bouncer just watching.

Tomorrow is Simon’s first day of preschool. He’s growing up so fast!
