Simon’s lunch of Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets, carrots, Korean pear, strawberries, and a fortune cookie.

I’m starting to think that Simon’s lunches are getting a bit boring so I’ll have to brainstorm a bit more. Plus I haven’t been getting much sleep since Iris has not been sleeping well due to her stuffy nose and slight cough. I’ve been rushing in the mornings to clean dishes, clean bottles, prepare breakfast, and prepare lunches. Surprisingly though, Simon’s lunches usually come back completely finished. I think the school does a good job in encouraging them to eat during lunch.

Iris has been enjoying freeze dried blueberries lately. She’s drooling again (teething?) so the blue color gets all over her chin.

Simon’s lunch of Hawaiian sweet rolls (a little bit over toasted), Korean pear, grapes, strawberries, and stir fry of mini sausages, carrots, and broccoli. A fortune cookie for dessert. My Hello Kitty slippers making an appearance 🙂

So Iris and Simon’s favorite book is this small paperback from Disney’s Planes movie. Simon will make up his own story when flipping through it and looking at the pictures. He’d rather do that than try to read the words. Iris also picks it up and flips through it while looking at the pictures and babbles while she is holding it. Pretty cute to listen to the both of them.

Silly minions!

A busy weekend for birthdays as we headed out to Chuck E Cheese in Concord for our previous neighbor’s son’s 5th birthday party. Daddy and Simon had a good time playing the games and acting silly.

Iris has figured out how to use this snack cup to grab her Cheerios. She loves those toasty cereal snacks. I love them too.

After going out to dinner with Grandpa Tam, Iris totally konked out on the car ride home. She usually wakes when you move her from car seat to your arms but she stayed completely asleep this time. When she’s asleep, she seems heavier but still oh so sweet.

So Iris slept about 7 hours last night (8:30pm-3:30am). It’s amazing to be able to sleep more than 4 hours straight but I wonder how long this will last…

Today Simon’s classmates had a birthday party at the PRAM Fieldhouse in Richmond. It’s a place where they have a ton of toys (looks like a preschool), a big playroom, a kitchen, and a playground in the back. Great place for a kid’s party. Iris Kitty enjoying the kid-sized furniture.

After running around all afternoon, both kids were pooped on the car ride home.

Later on, Simon looking cool carrying his violin that he got from Grandma Chung for his birthday. He says he’s not ready for lessons yet though but maybe someday soon.

Last picture of the day of Iris in her Hello Kitty dress. It’s already too tight so this will be the first and last time she will wear it. She has so many outfits that sometimes she can’t wear all the “fancy” ones.
